In Case You Were Wondering

This is a fine example of the ridiculous flotsam and jetsam that runs through my mind on a daily basis. My brain asks me, “Hey Tom- how much of one food would you have to eat to hit the 1500 calorie mark for the day?” Well, you just KNOW I have to find out now!

For a 1500 calorie per day diet you would want to eat:

3400 grams of boiled beets (That’s 7.5 pounds of beets)

1200 ounces (9.38 gallons) of chicken broth

3650 grams of raw carrot (That’s 8 pounds of carrots)

632 cups of black coffee

10,700 grams of iceburg lettuce (That’s 23.5 pounds of lettuce)

118 saltine crackers (keep lots of water handy as well)

19.5 hard boiled eggs (I might actually be able to do this one… )

These are not recommendations. BUT… if you get the urge to try one of these for a day, let me know how it turns out. And stay close to a bathroom. ~TH~
